Seen at lunch one day
From 2003 to 2013, I worked for a company in Oklahoma City called Chesapeake Energy. This timeframe just so happened to have been the boom time for that company. So while it was “just another” oil exploration and production company, the perks for employees there were more like we were working for a company in Silicon Valley.
There was a restaurant on the campus called Creekside.
They
sit under the shade of the overarching trees
Their
lunch is done,
their
glasses empty
but
it doesn’t seem to matter
Her
hand rests lightly on the table

his on his side of the table

straightens in his chair
